Important announcement about Graduation Rehearsal. Graduation Rehearsal scheduled for Tuesday, 5/27 @ 2 pm has been cancelled due to inclement weather in the forecast. There is a 50% chance of rain at 2 pm. Mandatory Graduation Rehearsal has been rescheduled for Wednesday, 5/28 @ 2 pm. Graduation Day, Thursday, 5/29 @ 11 am is still scheduled as planned

We had our Spring Athletic Banquet on Wednesday and our Senior Awards Day on Thursday. Both events showcased the outstanding students we have, both athletically and academically, at Indian Land High School! We ended the week with two great EOY Concerts, our Band Concert and Dance Recital! Both events were outstanding and the students performed beautifully! On a side note, We are thrilled to celebrate Emma Jordan and KJ Perry for their outstanding achievements at the 2025 Blumey Awards, an exceptional program that supports and uplifts high school musical theater across the greater Charlotte area. Emma and KJ were selected as our school’s Best Actress and Best Actor nominees from our production of Chicago and advanced through multiple rounds of auditions among 54 participating schools. KJ earned a spot as a Top 6 Best Actor finalist. We are so proud of their hard work and success!

I am so proud of Coach Bagwell and his Warrior Baseball team, who are the Region 3 Champions and the District 1 Champions. They lost a tough one to Catawba Ridge in the Upper State Championship on Saturday ending their season with a 26-5 record. They had a great season!

We are now down to the last week of school and only three days until graduation! For our Class of 2025, what feels like the end for many is the beginning for 400+ graduates walking across that stage on May 29th @ 11 am. The journey doesn’t start at the beginning, it begins at the end. We know the tassel is worth the hassle!

Dual Enrollment Updates

For students who applied to USCL for Fall 25 Dual Enrollment- please be sure your part of the application is completed by May 26th- you will see a 100% at the top of your portal. You need to be sure to pay the $10 online and upload all required documents before it will turn to 100%.

Since you are applying for Fall, you will not get an acceptance email until June or July.

Once you get the email, you need to immediately follow all directions in the email and then pay attention to your USCL email daily to watch for when you sign up to go register- returning students you may be able to register with the online form- new student MUST go to one of the orientation/registration dates, so do not miss the sign up for that- watch your USCL email.

Summer 25 DE students- please understand you only have 5 days from the start date of an online course and 5 live sessions for an in-person course to drop the course as a WP, which will be listed on your ILHS and USCL transcripts but will not affect your GPA at either school.

Any drops AFTER the first 5 days as described in the paragraph above will be a WF at ILHS, negatively impacting your GPA, even if you drop before the USCL drop date and it is a W at USCL which will be listed on your USCL transcript but will not affect your USCL GPA. If you drop after the USCL drop date, it will also be a fail on your USCL transcript.

Please remember that any dropped classes will need to be explained to future colleges and employers.

It is time to begin working on transferring anything you want to keep from your LCSD Google Drive. Your LCSD Google account will be disabled and inaccessible after graduation. If you are interested in keeping papers you wrote, tip sheets from teachers, projects, etc., transfer your materials to a personal account ASAP. Here is a good Youtube video tutorial if you need it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DLsi_yixRqE

All library books and materials are now overdue. Please return them as soon as possible. If you have truly lost the item, please pay the replacement cost. If it says the item is lost and you know where the item is, simply return the item and the fine will be satisfied. We accept cash or credit card payments (there is a small processing fee on top of the fine amount) for lost items.
